The construction of the cutoff / diaphragm wall was completed at the Tétényi Street Station of the 4th line of the Metro

In the 9th district the construction of the 4th line of the Metro takes place at five sites. The construction works have progressed the farthest at the Tétényi Street Station; the cutoff / diaphragm walls were completed on October 29th at the construction of the slab structure of the station was commenced. Completion is scheduled in the middle of December. The construction of the cutoff / diaphragm wall is the operation generating the most intensive noise during the construction works of the station.

The Fővám Square station of the Metro was granted the Media Award for Architecture 2006 for the best architectural design of the year

In cooperation with seven Hungarian media (Élet és Irodalom; Heti Válasz; HVG; index.hu; Kultúrház (mtv); Magyar Hírlap; and Népszabadság) Epiteszforum.hu, the daily architectural news portal announced the Media Award for Architecture the second time. In 2006 projects were granted a Media Award in two categories: Plans and Completed Projects. In the category “Plan of the Year” the Fővám Square station of the metro received the highest number of votes from the Selection Committee.

The “power mole” passed the exam

The assembly of first tunnel boring machine or „TBM” to be used at the construction of the tunnels of the 4th line of the metro was completed. The test run took place in Germany. The „ power mole” passed all tests, it operated adequately.
