THE LAST BUT ONE STATION LICENSING PROCEDURE OF METRO LINE M4 IS COMPLETED

As a a precondition of starting the Test in Traffic Operation, the National Transport Authority has issued the completion certificate of Fővám tér station of the new metro line, which has attracted international professional and media attention, and which is the ninth station ready to receive passengers. A new subway was built for the station, and a section of the square has been relieved of the traffic between the university and the Danube.

KELETI RAILWAY STATION IS ALSO READY FOR THE M4 TEST IN TRAFFIC OPERATION

The National Transport Authority has issued the completion certificate for the Keleti Railway Station stop of Metro Line M4, too, which has created the theoretical possibility of passengers taking it into possession in March. The terminal of the line is one of the most important junctions in Budapest traffic, and so proportionate surface reinstatement works have been going on in Baross tér and the surrounding area. The completion of these is expected before the Test in Traffic Operation begins in March 2014.

THE KÁLVIN TÉR STATION OF METRO LINE M4 RECEIVES ITS COMPLETION CERTIFICATE

The National Transport Authority has issued the completion certificate for the Kálvin tér station of Metro Line M4. After the integration tests, other necessary permits by the various competent authorities and the successful on-site inspection, which the NKH resolution now confirms, this station with a transfer to Line M3 is also ready for the Test in Traffic Operation scheduled to begin at the end of March 2014.

OVER HALF OF THE M4 STATIONS ARE OFFICIALLY READY TO RECIEVE PASSENGERS

THE MÓRICZ ZSIGMOND KÖRTÉR AND THE II. JÁNOS PÁL PÁPA TÉR STATIONS OF M4 HAVE RECEIVED THE COMPLETION CERTIFICATES

Two new stations of Metro Line M4, Móricz Zsigmond körtér and II. János Pál pápa, have received their official completion certificates. Over half of the stations are now ready to start the Test in Traffic Operation after the tests and examinations currently under way. There are several permit procedures going on currently.

MOST OF MÓRICZ ZSIGMOND KÖRTÉR IS OPENED TO THE PUBLIC AGAIN

The contractor has demolished most of the fence around the work site at Móricz Zsigmond körtér, and so the public of the area and traffic can take possession of the Circus with the exception of the metro exits and the Mushroom building. In the framework of the Metro Line M4 project and in connection to building the station, the pavement of the square was replaced, new elevated platforms were built for the trams, the area of the Saint Emmerich (Imre) statue was newly landscaped, with trees and bushes having been planted for the benefit of those walking or wanting to take a rest.

THE RENEWAL OF II JÁNOS PÁL PÁPA TÉR IN CONNECTION TO THE M4 PROJECT IS COMPLETE

The part of the Józsefváros square named after Pope John Paul II in the vicinity of the M4 metro station is renewed, and the public of the area took possession of it this morning. The large area handed over is really a park, with many trees having been newly planted in the square and the nearby Fiumei út.

THE STATUE OF GÁBOR BAROSS IN A WORTHY PLACE AGAIN

With the progress of the surface reinstatement works at Baross tér connected to the construction of Metro Line M4, the statue of Gábor Baross has now been put in a central and worthy place again. Though the completion of these surface works are due in March 2014, the sand stone plinth of the statue was erected, and after putting up the side figures, the contractor has now placed the renewed statue of the former transport minister into its final place.

THE RÁKÓCZI TÉR STATION OF METRO LINE M4 RECEIVES ITS COMPLETION CERTIFICATE

The Rákóczi tér station of metro line M4 is now the fourth station to have received its completion certificate from the National Transport Authority. Apart from the completion of on-going construction works and white tests, obtaining the necessary permits for the new metro line is a precondition of starting the Test in Traffic Operation of Metro Line M4 at the end of March, the deadline undertaken.

AS OF TODAY RÁKÓCZI TÉR CAN AGAIN BE USED BY THE BUDAPEST PUBLIC

Another surface refurbishment project has been completed in the Metro Line M4 Project.


The surface reinstatement works of the Rákóczi tér station of Metro Line M4 have been completed, and now, after the handing-over procedure, the public of the district and city can take possession of it again. Parallel to the completion of the fit-out and the system construction works and the test operation of the new line without passengers down below, the surface works will soon come to an end, as well. By March 2014, all work phases will have to be completed at every worksite except for the Kelenföld junction, though, naturally, its exit structure and its immediate surroundings will also be finished.

THÖKÖLY ÚT BETWEEN BAROSS TÉR AND DÓZSA GYÖRGY ÚT OPENS ON SATURDAY FOR VEHICLE TRAFFIC AGAIN

BKK as the road maintenance provider of the Budapest Municipality has completed the renewal of one of the worst-condition, cobble-stone main throughways of Budapest. On 30 November 2013, the road, Thököly út, will thus be handed over to vehicle traffic between Baross tér and Dózsa György út. Following handing-over, the order of traffic will also change for motorcars, buses and cyclists; a bus lane will be in the middle, and bicycle lanes have also been made. The terminus of the no. 178 bus has been moved to the junction of Thököly út and Verseny utca, and the stops for other buses are returned to their original places.
