Metro4: 100% accessible

Budapest's latest metro line under construction meets the requirements of the 21st century from all aspects. This involves more than meeting the highest level of technical and technological criteria, but also means that the metro shall meet the requirements set by the society.

Every station of the Metro4 will be constructed with total accessibility. The use of metro will become more easy and simple for disabled people too. Beyond the escalators, elevators will also be installed to help the traveling of wheel chaired people as well as passengers with baby strollers or heavy luggage. The elevators will start from the street level and transport passengers down to the level of platforms. The elevators will operate continuously in every station.

Special "touchable and loud" information tools will help the transportation of people with visual impairment. Orientation and traveling will both be easier. These systems will, among others, inform of the traveling direction of escalators or the location of doors on arriving trains.

The Metro4 will provide the possibility for quick and convenient transportation to everyone.
