TWO STATIONS OF METRO LINE M4 WIN PRESTIGEOUS ARCHICTECTURAL PRIZE

The Szent Gellért tér and Fővám tér stations of Budapest’s new metro line won the main prize of the architectural website Architizer.com in the Bus & Train Stations category.

The architectural A+ Awards were founded by Architizer.com, the Wall Street Journal and The Webbys in 2013. The 200-strong jury examined outstanding pieces of world architecture, with 200 thousand popular votes cast and over 80 million people visiting the webpages of the buildings.

Buildings from all round the world participated in the contest hosted by the American online architectural magazine. The category-winning stations were designed by Spora Architects, a studio of young Hungarian architects, taking both the jury and the popular choice prizes.
