Following the completion of Bartók Béla út, renewing works were continued on the Buda side: the internal section of Fehérvári t and the junction with Bocskai út were reconstructed.

Roadway, sidewalk and utilities rebuilt

Also this renewal was a wall-to-wall reconstruction. The road pavement received a new, durable asphalt pavement and the streets new traffic lights. Utilities under the road surface have been renewed: sewer, water, gas and district heating pipes, as well as electric and telecommunication cables were renewed. Public lighting became more up-to-date. New sidewalk was constructed and new street furniture installed. The green surface in Móricz Zsigmond körtér was increased by nearly four times.

Tram track

The tram track was renewed. Similarly to other tram track works along Nagykörút (Grand Boulevard in Budapest), the new rails are placed in rubber bed. Thus, trams can circulate more silently and without any jolting. Both tram stops at the Bocskai út junction have been moved near the Market Hall. The destination of most of the passengers is the Hall, so they will have to walk less in the future. The terminal of Tram 4 has been reconstructed, as well.

Pedestrian underpass

A new passenger underpass has been constructed in the junction with Bocskai út, in order to make pedestrian transport safer: they will not have to walk any more on slippery sidewalks in the rain or snow fall, or waste their time on waiting at traffic lights. Of course, pedestrian crossing on the surface can be used even after the completion of this underpass. Like the underpass in Móricz Zsigmond körtér, the one in Bocskai út offers more comfort mainly to the passengers changing trams in the first few years. Later on, it will be at the disposal of the Metro passengers as well.
