MIND THE GAP! IN METRO 4

The Tétényi Road station of metro 4 was the venue of a unique cultural event with the title of "Mind the Gap!" on the evening of May 14th. Now DBR Metro Project Directorate provided only the special location, even though the event is part of the series of cultural events of the metro builders began last year.

There have been theater play, progressive rock, alternative rock, underground street art festival, chanson and even jazz concert in the stations under construction. By the recent evening the organizers wanted to address the younger generation, but also within that the lovers of electronic music. They have contacted DBR a few months ago, because in their opinion the metro construction has caused numerous difficulties for the students of the universities in Buda and with this event they would like to draw their attention – as a “compensation” – to the volume and positive effects of the project. Eventually the programs originally planned in the Móricz Zsigmond circus station were hosted by the Tétényi Road station being far enough from buildings, therefore absorbing sound the most, hardly known by the general public up to now, laying nearly 20 meters deep, and is also special in architecture with its unique dome structure. During the evening the French Popof came on stage first time in Hungary. This time the event was not organized by DBR, it only provided the location for the new modern cultural initiative.
